If you have the budget, you may want to consider the EF100-400 IS lens,
there have been list members getting decent results with the 75-300 IS lens,
but it seem to more finicky and require much better technique to achieve
that.
You may want to try out both lenses under different conditions and compare
the resulting images, I suspect you would be happier with the EF100-400, and
it's not because it is much more expensive, it's because it is a very, very
good lens.
Then again if you are buying for wedding shoot, you may want to consider the
EF70-200 instead.
