Has anyone used a split-image focusing screen in an EOS 1v (or other EOS) camera, such as the Ec-B New split or a Maxwell variety? Will such a screen affect the metering? I'm interested in using a screen that assists manual focusing, but not if it adversely impacts metering or AF. In that regard, which would be a better choice: the Ec-B with split focusing aid, the Ec-D grid with higher contrast, or one of the Maxwell screens?
