I had my 28-135 IS taken to service because the
IS sometimes started vibrating, ie the effect was opposite of
stabilzing the image. I got the lens back yesterday, they had
changed some circuit..
Before the service, the sound of IS was barely audible.
now you can easily hear it even when the camera is more than a
foot away from you and you don't have to concetrate on hearing
the sound. How loud is your IS? Should I return the lens back?
The stabilizer functions just fine though, except the sound.
