Yes, except mine started sometimes vibrating even when I was still
and didn't pan.

Canon's repair say that the normal is two weeks, this was couple of
days longer because they had to wait some part. ie. no matter
what problem you have, it takes about two weeks.

That's how mine was. Now that I got mine back, I thought that
perhaps mine was an exceptionally quiet and they do make this
noise and decided to ask here. Judging from the replies I've
got from here and usenet, it is supposed to be very quiet,
not the way it is now.
