As a test I've taken an 800ISO film with me to South-Africa last
December and it was scanned six times without protection. No
fogging whatsoever was visible after processing. This makes me
wonder about the effects of X-rays on film. I will continue my habit
of taking all my film with me in a FilmSafe bag, but I won't worry
anymore about the effects of X-rays. Next July I'll do the same
test again using an 800ISO film only then in my luggage which
I'll check in. This will go through at least six checks (Amsterdam,
Chicago and Los Angeles). I'll post the results on the list.
