I realize this is only marginally on topic. But I am reading the EOS
list regularly, and it stimulates a lot of thought about acquiring more
EOS gear.
If I see an EOS item in a photo.net ad, post an offer, and the offer is
accepted, then how safe is it to send money to the seller? How do I know
the item will be shipped, and will perform as advertised?
Common sense would seem to dictate that one should purchase only from
established firms with a reputation to uphold. But I like the idea of
person-to-person exchanges and sales. How do I get over the uncertainty
that I may just be sending my money down a black hole?
(Assume that the seller has no visible record on photo.net, other than as
a registered user.)
