Hello Syed,
The EOS 500 has a popup flash, so it is equivalent to the
REBEL XS or EOS KISS. See the cross reference table in:

Does the BP-8 have a second shutter release button?
If it does not, could that be the reason that the hand strap
is offered on the BP-8 and not on the BP-300.
Since the BP-300 can be used vertically and horizontally,
two handstraps might have been required!
