Well, for normal shooting situations where you freeze
the subject with the shutter speed rather then
(partially) with the flash it doesn't really matter
what sync you use. Keep in mind though that 2nd
curtain sync does not have any meaning with FP. With
FP the flash is active during the whole exposure time
rather then just for a very short moment during
exposure without FP. Therefore, there is nothing to
sync with (except of course that the flash starts
before/with and ends after/with the exposure).
I do not see any reason why not to have 2-nd curtain
sync on all the time. Well, I think somebody mentioned
some limitations with newer bodies and 2-nd curtain
sync. Can't remember what that was, though.
