I used to own this lens. Handling overall was OK for an older lens, but
certainly not up to the standards of the newer USM lens. It was not very
sharp compared to the lens that replaced it, a Canon 80-200 f2.8 L. Wide
open performance was less than average, and stopped down it wasn't much
better.
