Well, manual focus would be ok. I also wouldn't mind
losing infinity focus. But I would like to be able to
change aperture. AFAIK, the newer Nikon lenses can
adjust aperture electronicaly. So maybe there is an
adapter that would translate the Nikon protocol to a
Canon protocol.

Well, our company has a D1 but only a 50mm lens. I
don't plan to use it very often but would like to try
it a few weekends with some other lenses. Obviously, I
don't want to buy Nikon lenses for that. So it would
be nice to use my lenses even with restrictions. Maybe
after using the D1 I'll become convienced and by the
D30...
