Hi Robzilla:

I don't have 24-85 so I can't give much comment on that.  However, I have
both 28-105 and 28-70 II.  Here is my 2cents comments.  Personally, the
built of 28-70 seems to be more solid than 28-105.  Optic wise, I can't
really tell much of the difference within the 28-70 range (well, I think
28-70 might be abit sharper).  On the downside,  28-70 has rotating front
and no USM focus.
