This is nothing new for this type of lens Jim and the images don't surprise
me. I have seen similar tests before and was aware of it before buying the
28-135.
As you correctly mentioned earlier in your post, this will rarely become
apparent in real world general photography. It hasn't changed my positive
opinion of this lens at all.
