Dear EOS 50E (Elan IIE) users, just recently my primary camera was stolen, so I had to get back to my backup body. I have used the 1v at shutter & aperture priority modes with matrix & spot metering, and haven't got any complaints. What was my surprise to see very over- or under- exposed results with the 50E... I shot a handful of rolls with matrix metering, and the results varied greately - usually backlit subjects are underexposed, and some pretty trivial pictures (no extra dark & light objects or other difficult stuff) appeared over- exposed... Will you share your experience - does this happen to all of you? At the moment I'm using a gray card with the almost-spot (9%) metering, or meter with a handheld light meter, and shoot at full manual. This works, but why do I have an automatic camera, if I'm going to shoot always on manual? :) Regards, Gena * **** ******* *********************************************************** * For list instructions, including unsubscribe, see: * http://www.a1.nl/phomepag/markerink/eos_list.htm ***********************************************************
