EOS Rebel 2000 Blinking ISO

My R2k has a blinking ISO symbol in the LCD. I am using pre-packaged film, 
and when I check in the ISO it is reading at 400 which is correct. The manual 
and Golden Lantern are of no help...

Any suggestions?
