These are the ones for treeking, traveling and are the only ones you'll really carry all the times,so to say, you'll really use. In # 4 are included carbon fiber tripods. The price range goes from 260 to 700 dollars. Ballheads can be bought from 80 to 500. Remember that a good tripod is an investment made one time for a lifetime of carrying around... And it's the single piece of equipmment that can make more difference in your photography. I got myself a Slik CF 803 (U$ 260) and a Slik Pro Ballhead 800 (U$ 80). It's wonderful.Marvellous. Light, stable, easy to use, keep the camera where you want it to be without effort. Lock the knob, and it will not move (I use it with a Canon 70-200 2.8L,which is heavy!). Sure i'd like a Gitzo CF and an Arca-Swiss ballhead, but the 1.000 tag doesn't fit my budget... Buy yourself a 50 dollars one,(I have two) and get for free a back disease and a headache. Or live it at home, most of the time...
