Help!
I have a 10 day old Elan 7E and a 1 week old 28-135 IS lens and they have
stopped working. The LCD flashes the <M> and the shutter goes to 4000 and
aperature to 00. as I change lighting the shutter changes. IS on or off,
AF or MF doesn't matter. P or auto, same thing. If I trigger the shutter
the mirror locks up, the bLCD blanks except for the battery indicator
showing empty. Press shutter again to return mirror and LCD display.
New batteries make no difference. The 28-90 kit lens works fine.
Everything was fine for about 30 shots today, I finished with the kit lens.
Do I have a bad 28-135 or is something just set wrong? I couldn't find any
reference to this in either manual.
any ideas?
