Hi Andrew,
I have been curious about the benefits of a eyecup for some time.
So, when I came across a used Eyecup Ed-E at a local retailer,
I bought it to try out on my Elan 7E.
Well, it is certainly effective at shielding extraneous light.
But it is very large and unwieldy, and must be removed in order to
open the camera back to change film.
I saw no benefits in ECF, metering, or viewfinder visibility.
So, it sits in my gadget bag for the right moment.
