Hello Everyone, Wow some really interesting comments. Didn't mean that this
lens would be my only choice for wedding candids. The use would be for very
(I know) tight shots and some real blown out background effects.

I spent part of Sunday working with my grandson (indoors-totally candid and
out doors) with the 70-200 and purposely shot at 200 as much as possible.
This worked very well and so in an out door situation I don't feel the 300
2.8 would be to long.

As to it being Big and cumberson-no doubt-(have shot with the 200 1.8 for a
week-now that is a big and heavy lens). But working with it the right way
(the 300) and for the right situation I think it will work (Thanks Chip). I
know of one fellow in Calif. who uses one of the zooms that hits 400mm for
wedding candids and they look very nice.

Thanks everyone for your in put. BTW where can I buy the wheels for the
lens??
Cheers Wilber
BTW this is on the wish list, not the where is the plastic lets do this
thing list. I guess in about 1 yr. Will let you know.
