I found this review of the Tokina 2.8 28-80 lens vs Canon 28-105. It is
interesting. At same apertures, Tokina is sharper but at 2.8, it says that
Tokina is soft at 80mm, 2.8. I am not surprised since the comparison is done
for the very end of the Tokina's end at 2.8 where as the Canon is around
it's sweet spot. But still an interesting read. For less than half the price
of a canon 28-80 2.8L you get a very well built, quite sharp lens.
