My reply from work today was probably bounced as I forgot to change the
subject.
It would appear that the shutter on the 3 does not require as much pressure
to be placed on it before firing than any previous body that I have used.
The mode does not matter, I was in single frame advance when I pointed the
lens at the grassy area to check the exposure reading and with very little
pressure I should have a well exposed shot of grass (domestic, nothing
exotic). Looks like I will just have to become used to the pressure required
on the 3.
