On EOS 30 (aka Elan 7E) with only the center focusing point activated, there
is no difference between these two or at least I can't see the difference,
both are very fast. In low ligth situation the 70-200 have slight edge over
100-400 because of f/2.8 vs f/4.5. I chose 100-400 over 70-200 for my needs,
as it has more range and IS is really worth every penny. I wish my 100-400
had that nice bokeh of 70-200...
