Bart,
The problem is most likely the rivets that hold the command dial. They
are plastic and break.
The best thing I can tell you about the problem is to send it to Horizon
Electronics in California. They will fix it for about $110.
I sent my A2e there for the fix and conversion to EOS-5 a year ago.
They did a great job.
