Hi Mat, Thanks for the reply, but I now have a problem. As the list was down
I rang a contact at Canon CPS technical to get an answer. His reply was an
emphatic no - the CP will not affect AF performance. He stated that it is
not comparable to fitting a TC which slows AF down and is not a case of
"less light" per se. The guy knows me and my work and I've dealt with him
before so I went ahead and ordered the filter. I haven't received or payed
for it yet though.
How sure are you of your information?
Your comments on the moulded windscreens are interesting and I hadn't
considered that aspect. Shutter speeds/blur are not a problem.
