The lens hood for my 20-35/3.5-4.5 does indeed take
more 'force' then for my other lenses. But definitely
far from where I would have to be afraid to twist
something. Are you sure you do not twist the lens hood
somehow? If not then there might be something wrong -
never heard of something like that, though. Maybe you
want to go to a local store just to check out if it's
the same on another 20-35.
