I'm going to try my first infrared photography(Kodak High Speed Black and
White), and would like some advice. I plan on shooting desert landscapes
and will most likely use a Wratten #25 equivalent red filter. The kodak
guide says to use a film speed of 50, but I was just reading on a web page
that I should meter before putting the filter on the camera. It seems to me
the ISO setting of 50 should adjust for the filter. Am I correct, will my
EOS 1v (to keep this on topic) meter correctly for the film with this filter
on the lens and camera ISO set at 50. What about if I'm using an opaque (87
or 87c) filter? What if I also use a polarizer?

Any help is appreciated, JD
