This is an eternal dilemma, never solved: fixed lenses vs. zooms; high 
quality zooms are heavy and expensive, fixed focal lenses are less flexible.

Depending on the shooting style the use of fixed focal lenses is not a 
problem. Even though I've not tried it yet, I think I could live using only 
fixed ones.
