I have an elan 7e and the eye control works great. I ordered one of
those refurbished EOS3 from B@H. I loved the camera, but I could not get
the eye control to calibrate consistently or to work effectively. I
tried calibrating in different light, with the light facing me and with
light to my back, with a 50 1.4 lens, pressing buttons slowly and fast,
all sorts of things and it would not calibrate or work consistently. I
read the long EOS 3 review in Picture Perfect for advice, but again eye
control was non-functioning. I do wear glasses. The question that I have
is this common for the EOS3, or did I just get a bad example? I did send
the EOS3 back for a refund. Again the Elan 7e eye control works great
for me.
