Hi Skip!

540EZ with it's built in wide adapter covers only 18mm and Sigma goes to 
17mm. Therefore flash does not illuminates everything that is captured on 
film. Outhern edges are dark. That's what I meant by vignetting and only in 
combination with 540EZ at widest setting. No such thing without flash use.
I guess 550EX would solve this problem as it covers 17mm.
