Ken, thanks for your response, yet I'm not any closer to deciding
between the 540ez or 550ex. Sorry, but I'm new to flash photography.
I don't plan on upgrading to the EOS-3, 1V, D30 anytime soon. What
will I lose if I get the 550EX for my A2E (to gain the 17mm coverage)
instead of the 540EZ.
