As stated in the Daniel Rocha's "Eos news" 
(http://eosseries.ifrance.com/eosseries/lenscanon/news.htm), probably Canon 
will include IS technology on the 17-35 L.

By now I've not read nothing here about that. Does someone understand why 
Canon does IS on 17-35 before stabilizing the 28-70? Will this one be 
stabilized sometime? The logic says "yes", and then the whole 2.8 L zoom 
set would be stabilized, but when?
