I am considering this lens for a walkaround with no tripod lens, such as the
zoo etc. I currently have a Canon 70-210/3.5-4.5 USM which I think takes
real nice pictures. Will I be disappointed in the sharpness, etc with the
70-300IS? Does the IS slow things down as far as focusing speed?
