Yes, the accuracy is definitely different between models. This has been shown 
in a test I read some years ago. Everything else being equal, I'd expect an AF 
sensor that works with smaller apertures to be less accurate. E.g. the 1Ns 
central sensor (or more accurate its vertical part) works with f/2.8 or better 
lenses only and gives an increased accuracy with those fast lenses. Of course,
as technology advances, it should be possible to gain accuracy by other means,
maybe by increased resolution of the sensor (more, smaller pixels).
