There is one in the works based on the EOS-1v but I doubt it would be less
expensive than the D30.
However, one never knows. Perhaps Canon is coming out with a new body and
the D30 will be reduced in price to be the less expensive model. I also hear
the new D-1v(?) will be 6 megapixels. Announcement in Novemeber.
