Sorry, that just does not work as a generalization.  I have, for
example, the Tamron 20-40 that is superb.   Many 3rd party lenses are
known excellent performers.

Solution?   Do research on the particular lens you want.  Some are
great, and some not.  

As far as I'm concerned the jury is still out on why these photos look
the way they do.  But to just use it as an opportunity to say "It's
that crappy 3rd party glass" is irresponsible.
