Is anybody aware of any 'service codes' or the like with the
EOS cameras? Every other piece of electronics I have, that has an
LCD or on-screen display, has a service menu of some sort. With
the proper keypresses on the remote of my Sony V-series TV, you
get access to a menu of several hundred settings that will let you
make the picture *perfect*- (or unwatchable, for that matter, so
bad that you can no longer read the on-screen menu.) Same with
Sony stereo receiver, Zenith TV, Sony CD jukebox, Pioneer car
receiver, etc.
I cannot believe that there is not such a menu on our EOS
cameras. My only thought as to why these are still secret is that
it might require minor disassembly to get to the codes. And I
don't know about you, but I ain't taking a screwdriver to my Elan
IIE!
      Any ideas, anyone?
