I have heard from a Canon rep. that Canon is working on something big. Two
versions will be released next year, a EOS D1 RS and a EOS D1 v.
-The RS will enable wireless connectivity, fixed mirror, playback(!) though
the viewfinder (!), at 850.000 pixels.
It will have 4.0 Mp, 10fps, 45 AF points and a 1.3x multiplier. Iso range
from 100-6400.
Price about $6000 Releasedate: 2/2002
-The v will enable wireless connectivity.
It will have 6.7 Mp, 3fps ,45 AF points and a 1.0x multiplier. Iso range
from 50-3200.
Price about $8000 Releasedate: 2/2002
Later next year a D7 with 5.0 Mp, 3fps, 7 AF points, eyecontrol, 1.6x
mulitplier and Iso range from 50-3200.
Price about $2500 Releasedate: 9/2002
and finally a cheap plastic D70 with 3.3 Mp, 1fps, 7 AF points, 1.6x
mulitplier and Iso range from 50-3200.
Price about $1500 Releasedate: 9/2002
The Pro 95 will not have 4 Mp CCD (The lens is not sharp enough!)
but a faster fps and faster AF and startup times and a much better HDTV
movie mode at 1024x768.
