As long as you are in the US and your lens is for the US market, with a
USA/Canada warranty, you can have it repaired under warranty at any Canon
Authorized Service Center, not just a Factory center. You should have recieved a
document with your EOS 3 and/or lens that lists all the ASCs worldwide. Of
course, it's probably still too late to have it repaired before the weekend.
