Thanks for this info.

I've always been disappointed with the Velvia results on my EOS50E. I don't know
if it's a personal "Velvia thing"  but I've never had a keeper on Velvia, just
to say that I don't buy it anymore. The contrast I was getting was very
exagerated and shadows completely closed. Maybe I'll try again using with your
tip.
