Hello all,

First I would like to say thanks for everyone messages of concern over recent
events. Although not directly involved in these attacks they have still
really shook me. It has been comforting to read the messages posted to this
list.

Second I have been using photography to help me distract myself from those
horrible events for atleast awhile...its been calming to me to see that nature
still goes on and the natural beauty of the world is still there...

Anyway I have a question about DEP mode. I've been experimenting with this
mode on an A2 and an EOS 5. Whenever I use this mode it always seems to set a
much different fstop for a giving picture than I would have set by using the
depth of field preview or by using a hyperfocus calculator. I have shot
several test shots comparing my settings to the DEP mode settings, but I won't
get those back for over a week. I'm just wondering what people think of this
camera mode. Does it work well? That is does it usually give the depth of
field that you wanted?

Thanks!

Scott
