I have had the EOS-3 camera / EF100-400 lens lock up 10 or so times in the
past two years, mostly while panning, and mostly while with certain amount
of diagonal panning motion, while this may possibly due to battery level, it
happened two weeks ago 1.5 rolls into a brand new 2CR5.
A loaner EOS-3 and EF100-400 from Canon also exhibited the same problem
three times last weekend during an airshow, so it seems this is not an
isolated problem only with my gear, and I now wonder if it is an inherent
problem with IS lenses and the EOS-3 / 1V cameras under a certain
combination of usage?
