I have learned that many stories that appear to be true, are not. A good
friend sent me a message about a group called Gold Star Mothers. They are
mothers of sons lost in times of war. It claimed that the GSMs went to see a
Senator from New York and she did not meet with them. I was asked to spread
the story. Before I did I wrote the GSM group and their answer was an
emphatic no, the story was totally untrue. My friend got the story from
someone he trusted and I usually trust him , I wanted to be sure before I
spread anything false. I was glad I did.
