I appreciate all the condolences from our many friends around the world. I
am a member of the US military, but I seldom mention it in this group. I
know the thoughts and prayers of many people from around the world are with
America in this trying time. We do appreciate it, and hopefully we will
remember others in war torn or earthquake stricken regions and not ever
forget those who've prayed for us. I do think; however, that it is not
appropriate to get into the who did what and who is reporting what on this
newsgroup, and especially what the response should be. Discussing these
things is more a political and moral discussion appropriate elsewhere.
After all, this is a non-political group where I hope we can and do
appreciate pain and suffering as all decent humans do.  We should not;
however, get into the politics of these actions here. I'd hate to see
strife and argument erupt, even in a minor way, from what I consider to be a
considerate and sharing group of, if not friends, then at least peers. Just
my opinion, and again I thank all those out there for their prayers. Just
my opinion.

Sincerely and respectfully, JD Washington
