Mine was new earlier this year from Focus at the NEC and has the problem.
I've dialed it out for now cos I'm too busy to be able to send it away
(using it too much!)
I understand that the number of custom functions you have is indicative of
which version of the firmware you have and thus whether it has the revised
algorithm.
Someone was kind enough to share the details of this a while back for me,
and they should be in the archives - if not I'm sure someone will re-post.
I understand Canon UK will upgrade the firmware under warranty on request -
is this true and how long does it take please?
