but they're interesting.

  Which reminds me - wasn't someone asking a while back about whether 
Canon has ever elucidated their metering algorithms? And whether 
Canon, like Nikon, use image databases that are matched against the 
current camera metering?

  The EOS 2000 brochure at the site Julian mentions includes the following line:
