Hi Vincente,

According to this argument, there is plenty of light to
achieve autofocus. So perhaps it is a failing on the
user side:

1) The AF assist beam was probably disabled, likely
because it was annoying.

2) The AF sensor was not placed over an area with
sufficient contrast (e.g. eyelid, eyebrows, lips)

3) AF performance on my EOS cameras seems to improve
when I holding the camera still for a second before
actually activating Autofocus.
