Hi,

If you *REALLY* want to try, you need a point-source AF target.

One way is to have an assistant project a laser pointer against a
completely blank wall. The intense RED dot can be used to determine
where the AF zones lie on your EOS camera.

A low-tech alternative is to put a medium size pinhole in a piece
of dark paper against a window or computer monitor.  But that is not
as much fun, nor as dangerous as the laser pointer :-)
