I'd do a search on eBay of here bidding activity and see if it squares with her story. If not I'd confront her, and if still nothing, she'd get a big red negative feedback. Else I might just give her a Neutral.

The buyer and I both forget about the transaction. She sends me a reminder a few months later and it turns out that I lost the book in a move. Well, it took me a little too long to respond to the email to tell the buyer this (due to the move and my new baby, it took a couple or 3 days to look for the book and respond). Wouldn't you know, I get a Negative. The moral.
