Since it's unlikely the lens mount is not exactly parallel to the film
plane, sounds like maybe one of the lens element is not parallel to the rest
of the elements?

Try shoot the same lens on another EOS camera to see if it has the same
problem, if so just get a new replacement lens, this should not be a problem
you, who paid good money for a product, should be worrying about.
