Last question. What's the easiest way to use the Elan 7's AEL button? It seems that it needs to be held constantly in order to work, and there is no custom function to make it an on/off switch. This is okay for handheld pictures. But what if I'm shooting a landscape, evaluating parts of the scene, and want to lock on something before putting the camera on a tripod. I can't hold the button that long. Or is this a case where I should use Av mode, evaluate the scene, and switch to manual with the desired shutter speed.
