I use EOS3 and EOS5 as my primary bodies. I don't like ECF much because of
the delay in selecting the focusing point. Also, I find that unless my head
is in exactly the same position (ie viewfinder / eye position) the body does
not select the focusing point I want. I now always preset my focusing point.
It took a little effort getting used to using 2 dials to control the AF
point on the EOS3 but now I am used to it and I wouldn't think of using ECF
again. I would rather Canon made a "joystick" at the back to control the AF
point - well, if Canon is listening....
